I’m on a mission to find the perfect cushion foundation for my skin, and the AMUSE Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion was next on my list to try. Amuse, a newbie in the K-beauty game, has been making waves lately, and I’ve got a bunch of their makeup on my wishlist. The Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion is in the hot seat, so let’s break it down and find out if it’s a must-have or a pass! Also, check out my Instagram reel for an up-close look of this cushion.

Where to buy: You can buy this at JOLSE. When you run out, save some cash by grabbing just the cushion refill.

Price: $17-$37

Volume: 15g / 0.52 oz. (No refill is included).

PAO: 12 months.

Packaging: The charm of this cushion is hard to ignore – a chic beige case with sleek transparent edges. It looks stunning. It’s also bigger than your standard cushion. But, here’s the deal: handle it with care. The material can easily catch some scratches, especially if it’s cozying up in a pouch with other beauty products.

About the AMUSE Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion SPF38 PA+++

This is a mesh-type cushion foundation with 70% essence, featuring star ingredients like Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice (43%), Panthenol (10,000 PPM), and a mix of 10 Hyaluronic Acid & Vita 11-Complex. Shades

This cushion comes in 5 shades in total: 01 Soonsoo, 1.5 Clear, 02 Nude, 03 Honey, and 04 Tan. I snagged mine in 1.5 Clear, and the swatch on my hand? Perfect match! But here’s the twist – on my face, it leans a tad brighter. It’s easy to fix with a dab of blush or a touch of contour though. Ideal for winter vibes, but I might switch it up come summer.

Performance of the AMUSE Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion

This has secured its spot in my top three favorite cushion foundations. Its application is even and leaves a dewy finish without any greasy sensation. I’ve found it effortlessly glides over my larger pores, seamlessly camouflaging them without drawing attention to flakes or dryness. Thanks to its moisturizing properties, it doesn’t settle into fine lines, resulting in a flawless complexion.

The gel-cream consistency sets it apart from more fluid foundations. This is the reason I find it works great on skin texture and doesn’t emphasize it. Offering a light-to-medium coverage, it’s buildable to a solid medium without becoming cakey.

I do wish it provided a bit more concealment for my dark circles, but the overall effect on my skin tone is undeniably beautiful. Neutralizes redness and uneven skin, leaving a healthy radiant complexion. Keep in mind, if you’re on a mission for heavy-duty coverage on pimples and pigmentation, this would not be your go-to. The cushion is more for an everyday natural “no makeup” look.

Ideal for normal to dry skin types, this cushion encountered a minor hiccup when my skin turned slightly oily after a few hours. This can be an issue especially in air-conditioned spaces during winter. The oil peeking through the pores ended up melting the cushion in a not-so-flattering way. However, a strategic application of powder to oily areas can provide a quick fix.

Additionally, powdering enhances its longevity, given its inherently moisturizing nature. It’s worth noting that cushions with this level of hydration typically have a slightly shorter wear time compared to their matte counterparts.
