Zeroid is a Korean dermocosmetic brand which I have discovered only recently. It is one of the brands under Neopharm along with others which you might have heard of: Atopalm, Real Barrier, Derma:B, T’esle, dermArtlogy. Pimprove is one of their 5 lines that is targeted for oily and troubled skin.

Up until recently the brand has only been sold in clinics. Now it’s available on Amazon, but you can also find it on the Atopalm website.

ZEROID Pimprove Gel Cleanser Balance Care for Oily & Troubled Skin (180 ml)

Volume: 180ml (6.08 fl oz)

PAO: 12 months after opening.

Packaging: Plastic bottle with a pump.

What it is: A mild, hypo-allergenic gel cleanser that balances pH while relieving skin irritations and helping to maintain healthy skin. It uses surfactants of natural origins to minimize the chances of irritation.

Notable ingredients and technology:
MLE® (+Ceramide-9S) – Technology that mimics the natural skin barrier.
Defensamide® – promotes the generation of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs),
– Panthenol – soothing, barrier repair.
– Zinc PCA – A combination of Zinc and l-PCA that can help with sebun production and prevent the spread of acne-causing bacteria.
– Free of alcohol and fragrance.

My experience

This gel cleanser is very gentle on the skin, makes a lot of foam and even feels a bit creamy when it lathers. Effective at cleansing oil and impurities without stripping the skin from hydration. The skin is left feeling soft. Perfect as a second cleanser for double cleansing or simply a morning cleanser.

Because it doesn’t contain any added fragrance, the scent is not something I like, but it’ll be washed off anyway in a couple of seconds, so I tolerate it.

ZEROID Pimprove Toner Balance Care for Oily & Troubled Skin (200 ml)

Volume: 200ml (6.76 fl oz)

PAO: 12 months after opening.

Packaging: Plastic bottle with a small opening to dispense the product.

What it is: A mild, lightly exfoliating toner targeted for oily, combination and troubled skin.

Notable ingredients and technology:
MLE® (+Ceramide-9S).
– Exfoliants: Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid.
– Glycerin, Panthenol, Betaine and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid.
– Zinc PCA
– Free of alcohol and fragrance.

My experience

The toner is very light and runny. Absorbs completely into the skin, hydrates well and doesn’t leave any residue or sticky feeling. I tend to grab this in the morning because it feels refreshing. Perfect for oily and combination skin for summer!

At first, I didn’t even know this was an exfoliating toner, since it’s not written in the package. I found out when I was searching for the ingredients. But, it’s very gentle because it didn’t cause me any dryness or tight feeling. I guess the percentages of the exfoliating ingredients are not that high.

ZEROID Pimprove Moisturiser Balance Care for Oily & Troubled Skin

Volume: 100ml (3.38 fl oz)

PAO: 12 months after opening.

Packaging: Plastic squeeze tube.

What it is: A lighweight non-sticky moisturizer that is targeted for oily and easily irritated skin which absorbs quickly.

Notable ingredients and technology:
MLE® (+Ceramide-9S).
– Restomide and ADfence-P – to calm the skin, reduce redness and oil production.
– Moisturizing: Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Arginine.
– Soothing: Beta-Glucan, Allantoin.
– Free of alcohol and fragrance.

My experience

The moisturizer is probably my favorite out of the three. It has that lightweight water cream consistency without being greasy or heavy. I can get away with using this in the AM under sunscreen because it absorbs well and it’s not sticky in the least! Oily and combination skin would love this, especially when it’s hot and humid.

I like that it comes in a 100ml version, unlike most moisturizers that come only in 50ml. It’s going to last you a lot more.

Final Verdict on the Zeroid Pimprove Gel Cleanser, Toner, and Moisturizer

All three products are suitable to use for oily, combination and acne prone skin especially during the warmer months. Beautiful elegant textures that don’t feel sticky or heavy.

I haven’t noticed any added calming effect from these, but they have excluded so many ingredients that may be potentially irritating, so the line would be suitable for sensitive skin and those that have damaged skin barriers to help them restore and protect it. It could be great for those that have rosacea, as well as those that are on tret.

Of course, I didn’t experience any breakouts. Overall, it’s a line that works exactly for the concerns it claims to address.
